Pioneer and Onkyo receivers are the two that I recommend. Go online magazine for home theater, and reading the journal of the recipient. They are experts in this field and have reviewed many recipients in recent years and recommend the Onkyo TX-SR607 as an entry-level receiver for only $ 7.1 599. If you have more power in order for the Onkyo TX-SR807 Electronic Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for 999 U.S. dollars. I have an old model, the 805 rooms for my family. We hope that this helps.

I bought a Harman Kardon AVR-354, after weeks and weeks of research. He bought a refurbished factory building in a straight line store in Hong Kong on eBay. It is a very small unit, and costs less than $ 400. I wondered, Yamaha, Pioneer, Onkyo, Denon and NAD. Onkyo overheating and poor upscaling. Pioneers finally in the "Elite" series, are welcome. Denon offers a solid performance in its upper-middle range. Yamaha has also problems of scaling up the video.

It was no coincidence that I would pay $ 850 for a unit, but if so many were out of my budget, I probably have taken seriously take another look at NAD. As it ... http://cgi.ebay.com/NAD-T755-Home-Theate ...

Also take a look at the Marantz units. They have some kick-azz product in its price class.

Oh - what the hell? .. spend the money you are willing, here is my choice!
